About us
Ilmenauer Magnettag

The Ilmenauer Magnettag is one of the leading trade events for applied research and development in the field of electromagnetic systems, bringing together researchers, developers, testing specialists, and users from industry.

The 9th Ilmenauer Magnettag will take place on March 18, 2026 in Ilmenau and is being organized this year by the Fachgebiet Mechatronik der Technischen Universität Ilmenau in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Jürgen Ulm (Hochschule Heilbronn – Campus Künzelsau – Reinhold-Würth-Hochschule).

New in 2026 – “Inside Solenoid” workshop

On the day before the symposium, March 17, 2026, the “Inside Solenoid” workshop will take place for the first time, providing an ideal foundation for the following conference day. The practice-oriented workshop offers a deep insight into magnet design and is aimed at aspiring developers, researchers, and those with an interest in technology who would like to deepen their knowledge.
